the balsam collection

named after my favorite hiking spot in the blue ridge mountains, this collection features pieces with nature-inspired colors, patterns, and designs. for these, i use a combination of clear, translucent, and opaque glazes, plus underglaze transfers—which work kinda like temporary tattoos.

among my favorite pieces to make and share in this collection are the bigfoot mugs. these pieces remind me to get outside, and enjoy the great, mysterious outdoors!
